Hidden in the folds of a cabbage palm frond in the Fakahatchee Strand, a green tree frog camouflages itself. With its waist-deep slough and canopy of cypress the Fakahatchee creates a tropical subclimate that hosts rare and endangered plants seen nowhere else in the United States.
